About Me

(in about 185 words)

Intro

I am an engineer at heart with a keen interest in tech, especially value-driven, fast-iterating SaaS apps. My journey over the past few years at a small B2B SaaS start-up has been defined by learning, growth, and positive changes both in code and the organisational and leadership aspects of delivering great software.

I not only want to produce readable and maintainable code, but am also very interested in the cultural practices and mindsets that enable product teams to consistently deliver state of the art software. After-hours I follow the world of Agile, DevOps and Test Automation to better understand how we can out-perform the competition and beat them in the market.

Currently

I am working at APLYiD on their SaaS product which revolutionises client onboarding in the era of Know Your Customer, Anti-Money Laundering and Countering Financing of Terrorism. The engineering team at APLYiD do more than just write code, taking responsibility for feature-planning, user stories, sprint ownership, cutting code, reviewing code, automation testing (with a springkling of manual testing), deployments (although largely automated), CI pipelines and infrastructure (all cloud based).
